For many gymnasts and parents the gymnastics recruiting process can feel stressful, overwhelming and worst of all the feeling of powerlessness. Gymnasts are constantly wondering when they should start reaching out and what they should say to coaches…

Let’s answer some of these questions and break down recruiting in its simplest form so that you can understand the process. Also I want to be able to give you a framework that works and one that empowers your daughter.

What is Gymnastics Plus

One of the most common questions right now and rightfully so as we recently launched the platform…is “What is Gymnastics Plus”?

Our mission is to empower young women to walk out in the world and know how powerful and deserving they are.

We live in a world filled with chaos and where more and more young adults would rather fit in than stand out. If I said to sum the young adult age group (12-22) up into one word it would be insecurity.

Individuals try on identities like they try on clothes!

Well how do you know this?

  1. Because as a former high school and college athlete I was that person.
  2. Having worked with athletes the past 15 years it has been the most common theme.
  3. We paid a research company $20,000 and the data says the same thing.

So how does this all point back to recruiting? Well for many middle school and high school gymnasts they have a dream of competing at the college level and it boils down to 3 parts:

After years of working with gymnasts across the country at all levels we wanted to put a system together where gymnasts could get everything they need in one place!

It’s our 3 “P” System

Gym Plus Recruiting

The first “P” is about building their profile. It’s kinda like building their resume and putting it in a place where you actually have college coaches’ attention. Because the truth is Instagram is built for entertainment!

It’s the reason why they have structured the platform so that you can endlessly scroll forever because they want to keep you on it for as long as possible to entertain you. That means that even if coaches have “coaches accounts” Instagram wants to give them things that will entertain them.

And if they scroll past your video they might miss what you have posted!

So we built a platform exclusive for coaches to have where they are only looking for gymnastics.

We built the platform where everything is organized for you and separated into buckets they can easily find like “full routines”, “skills” and “upgrades.”

On the homepage of your profile you have a spot for your “Intro Video” . This is your 2-3 minute about you so that coaches can get to know you!

Then you have your recruiting tracker where it’s a digital board where every college program is uploaded inside it with all their contact information and most importantly a checklist of questions so that you know how to build your emails.

It’s the most comprehensive recruiting platform out there.

College coaches have the ability to filter for routines, skills or upgrades by class year, event, score and much more! Something no other platform like Instagram will ever offer!

Gym Plus Mental Performance

The second “P” is Person and this might be the most valuable part of the Gymnastics Plus platform. One of the co-founders Ryan Romano has worked the past 5 years with college gymnastics programs across the country to help them improve individual and team performance.

We put his entire mental performance system inside the platform titled “Elite Operator System”.

Because here is the truth you don’t get what you want you get who you are and you must grow and develop the person otherwise it’s difficult to accomplish your dreams.

This system is designed to help your gymnast in 3 areas.

  1. In the recruiting process. They grow to build their confidence to show up powerfully in emails, phone calls and on visits to schools. Many gymnasts struggle to be relentless in the recruiting process and oftentimes that’s what it takes!
  2. To improve their gymnastics performance. Growing your mindset and identity is going to help them improve their actual gymnastics that’s going to allow them to stand out and improve likelihood of being noticed and recruited.
  3. In their life. Even if they don’t get recruited they will have the skillsets to step out into the world and feel powerful, deserving and worthy to stand out to land their dream job, start the business etc.

No other platform will help you build the person throughout your recruiting journey because if you hire a consultant they will do the reachouts for you and that will never allow you to feel more powerful!

Gym Plus Performance

The last “P” is performance and this is about creating wins and momentum! It’s about creating that intro video and feeling good about yourself. Sending relentless emails and getting an opportunity to have your first call or visit!

It’s about showing up at your next competition and setting new personal records at competitions!

Life is meant to be joyful, exciting and to be able to experience phenomenal moments.

It should not be about frustration, stress and feeling overwhelmed hoping that a successful moment will show up along the way!

This platform and system is not about doing things for you or your gymnast. It’s about equipping you with the right tools so that you feel empowered!

We want your gymnast to show up at the next competition and FEEL worthy of the score she wants. To send that email and she FEELS deserving to be a part of that programs.

So that she can step into the world and FEEL like the most powerful, deserving and worthy person! That’s our mission!
